What Ports Are on the OV80i?

This page lists and explains the key physical ports available on the OV80i smart camera, and how each is used in deployment and support.

M12 Power + I/O Connector

  • Input Voltage: 19–24 VDC
  • Pins: 12-pin A-coded (see Pinouts)
  • Functions:
    • Camera Power
    • Trigger In (NPN)
    • 2x Digital Inputs
    • 2x Digital Outputs
    • DIO GND

M12 Ethernet Connector

  • Pins: 8-pin X-coded (Gigabit Ethernet)
  • Use Cases:
    • Connection to local network
    • Communication with Overview software
    • Connection to PLCs via Ethernet/IP
    • Licensing validation (internet access not required after first install)

USB/HDMI Ports (Troubleshooting/Display)

⚠️ Notes

  • Only the Micro-USB port connects to the camera UI (192.168.55.1).
  • USB-A/C do not provide UI/network connectivity and are reserved for future/support use.
  • HDMI provides a simplified, read-only HMI display for real-time visualization at 1920×1080.

Reset/Recovery Button

  • Located near the USB ports (top panel)
  • Used only for recovery or reset procedures
  • Customers should never need to use this button
